Challenge: This client needed a strong, large package that would completely isolate a 110-pound metal base for a copier. This low, oblong package would be shipped far and wide around the world, so it had to withstand a lot of movement. Any nicks, scratches or dents in the product would not be acceptable.

Solution: We were able to suspend the product within all eight dimensions – top, bottom, all four sides and diagonal corners – without adding a ton of heavy materials. To do it, we used 275 double-wall corrugated, with four narrow blocks of hard foam around the perimeter and a shock-absorbing EPS insert.

Outcome: Hundreds of shipments have been made and the copier base has arrived intact every time.
